Ailments

Have something gross going on with your body and not sure where to start? Find your issue in the left column (they’re roughly grouped by body systems), check out the “action needed” on the curative properties page, and then read about some of the suggested plants to figure out what you want to try. Because healing is as much an art as a science, there’s no way I could include everything you need to know here. Consider this page a starting point.

As a general guideline, you should use the ailments (this page), curative properties, and specific plant pages together and only as starting points. For example, I’m not the sort who would try to fix high blood pressure herbally, but I do find it useful to know that rosemary oil – while helpful with coughs – should be avoided by people with high blood pressure as it can exacerbate hypertension.

*I write about uses for plants as a novice brujita, not a doctor or scientist; this isn’t medical advice. If you want to use plant-based remedies, find a doctor you trust and respect who also trusts and respects you so that you can work together to make sure you’re the healthiest version of you.
